Goals¶

• Simplify portal functionality by deprecating certificate authentication for web users

• Cache log records retrieved during log aggregation

• Upgrade Hazelcast from current 2.4.1 to latest release version.

• Possibly upgrade Solr from 5 to Solr 6 ( https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/solr/Major+Changes+from+Solr+5+to+Solr+6 )

  • (2018-05-11) upgrade should be to solr 7.1+, all solr versions 5.5 through 7.0.1 have script execution vulnerability (https://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2017-12629/)

There are a number of benefits for the Hazelcast upgrade besides numerous bug patches:
