Create search index parser support to define how documents of the new format type are parsed and added to the search index. Create an xslt to transform documents of the new format into html for display in ONEMercury. I think there aren't any new metadata formats (TO BE CONFIRMED), but there are some new data formats to be added to the formats list (https://redmine.dataone.org/issues/7780).

No new metadata formats required. GRIIDC is using the NOAA variant of ISO 19115.
