Description
ESA is recommending Dryad as a target for data submissions formerly deposited with ESA. For content currently associated with the ESA MN, a decision must be made about its disposition. It has been suggested that ESA content be archived at KNB and the ESA MN deprecated.
This requires consultation/coordination with ESA representatives before a plan can be established and executed.

Although the status of the ESA MN might change in the future, for now it is operating fine and no immediate action is needed. I will continue to interact with ESA, and if changes are needed will bring them to the attention of the group.

Defer this activity until there is a strong reason from either ESA's or DataONE's perspective (or both) to proceed.
