When attempting to register as a new user by using the "Begin Login" action at https://cn-stage-2.test.dataone.org/portal/startRequest?target=/portal/account.jsp a Java exception is thrown and the following text is displayed in the browser window:
Uh, oh...
There was a problem getting the certificate. Check the server logs...

The Tomcat stack trace from catalina.out is attached (stack-trace-cn-stage-2.20150216.txt). This issue was first noticed on Thursday 12 February 2015.

The incorrect myproxy id was being used for the portal buildout. I have corrected this so that STAGE2 uses the correct id (instead of the default production id).
I can login as normal now using the portal.
