Implementation is using GBIF custom software stack with a Hadoop backend for storage. https://github.com/gbif/dataone
As of mid June, 2017, the MN stack is "ready for testing". Tim noted some doubts that the software will pass replication tests since they have not done integration testing with CNs, but is fairly confident the other aspects are in good shape.
Need to check if they have worked with the version 2.0 APIs
