GMN is designed to always trust its own client side certificate for incoming connections (it makes it easy to do local management and set up basic async tasks). But, when the root CN in the environment is down, GMN gives up the entire process of adding trusted certs after failing to add the environment CN subjects, and so ends up not trusting its own cert. GMN should add its own cert regardless. A temporary workaround is to set STAND_ALONE to True in settings_site.py.
