Add two A records:
mule1.dataone.org = 129.24.0.15
mule2.dataone.org = 129.24.0.16
One CNAME record:
prototype.dataone.org = mule2.dataone.org
TTL for each of these should be 600 seconds.
These are VMs hosted at UNM that will be used to assist with prototyping activities.

Created recors for mule1 and mule2 as requested.
prototype is a vhost already and so was not set to the CNAME -- rather it uses our production web server to create vhosts and proxy some addresses.
