Description

There are numerous requests for DataONE to provide some support for streaming data, or datasets that are indeterminate. Supporting replication and repeatable access to such data is not feasible with the current infrastructure. One possible solution may be to use something of a proxy object in place of the actual data. The proxy object would be something like a WSDL document that describes the service endpoint from which the data can be retrieved.

This story provides a holding place for discussion and development of this concept.
