Infrastructure

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS was released on 2012-04-26. It is desirable to migrate core services to the newer OS to ensure the deployed infrastructure is not isolated on a software revisions with no or challenging upgrade path.

Updating to 12.04 will be performed after the infrastructure release, at a "quiet time" of development. Basic process will be to upgrade dev-cns and test services etc, then evaluate deployment process on sandbox or staging to identify a process for upgrading the production environment with minimal disruption.
