Since d1 component upgrades will be performed using the debian install packages, if the postinst scripts for these packages called the version tool command then the version report should always be current.
As opposed to creating a cron job or requiring user to manually generate version document.

Complete. cn-version-tool is invoked from each appropriate CN node deb postinst script.
