After extensive discussion on IRC, we decided to add an ObjectLocation.version field to the schema in order to make it convenient for calling applications to know what service version is supported by a Member Node for access to an object. Similarly to the 'url' field, which provides convenient access to information from the node registry about how to 'get' the object, the baseUrl and version fields can be used to construct service calls from programatic clients.
