I tried to login cn-dev.dataone.org (128.111.220.50) using my account (UN: palanisamy, I use this for repository.dataone.org),but it is not letting me in.

Sorry, your shell was set to /sbin/nologin, which is the default. I fixed it and was able to su to your account now. You should be all set -- reopen this ticket if it does not work.
