Description
The current Trac install utilizes its own groups, which have to be manually updated. Use LDAP instead by installing http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/LdapPlugin. Note that this requires updating the Trac server to fix the python dependency issues.

This will probably work now as python is 2.6 on the trac machine. So reassigning to Dave to install if he wants it. Feel free to send it back to me if you prefer.

The current system of manually editing group membership seems to work ok, especially now that membership is relatively stable and only the developers really use the system anyway. May need to revisit this down the road if there's a significant change in activity (e.g. for working group support).
