and
http://knb-mn.ecoinformatics.org/knb/d1/node/
should return the same value for baseURL, but instead the called URL is returned, giving a baseURL in the second case of:
http://knb-mn.ecoinformatics.org/knb/d1/node/
which is incorrect.
